	I ordered these votives for a wedding. The fushia and turquoise were beautiful. However, I wanted orange and the orange that's shown in the picture is amber and not orange. Very disappointed in the color that I thought was going to be orange.

	These votive holders were such a bargain I expected them to be thin and flimsy, but they're not! They're heavy and really pretty. 	Do Not Wash Votives
	I wanted my blue votive holders to be sparkling clean so I washed them and the color wrap chipped off. So do not wash your votive holders. On the positive side the company has agreed to my request for replacing votive holders with votive candles. They were very prompt in replying to my concerns.

	The colored tint is a coating baked onto the votive glass. It tolerates the flame well without discoloration. If the inside should char carbon black it wipes off easily without affecting the tint. Suprising high quality for the price.

	Not surprisingly, coated, not really colored
	Like most of the votive holders out there, clear glass gets heat shrink-wrapped in dyed plastic to give the illusion of colored glass. It's a cheap solution, but don't even think about putting them in a dishwasher... I've even seen the goopy film slide off after a warm, soapy soak. I'm onto the cheap trick now, but I still wish retailers would just own up to it and offer the real deal too.
